Food Company Uses Artificial Flavor Tech To Create Chips That Taste Like Banned US Foods
MSCHF, a prankster product manufacturer, has launched a new potato chip brand called “Illegal Chips.”
They used artificial flavor technology to allow customers to taste foods that are illegal in the United States.
The flavors are described as follows:
Horse Meat Beef: A slightly sweeter red meat flavor in the style of steak or tartare. Notes of onion, mushrooms, thyme, mustard, and horseradish, ready to pair with a complementary red wine.
Blowfish Fugu White-fish Sashimi: A subtle seafood flavor with umami notes reminiscent of whitefish sashimi. It tastes like ponzu, soy sauce, and mirin.
Casu Marzu Cheese: A blend of blue/gorgonzola, aged brie, and white cheddar. A sharp cheese flavor with lighter cheddar notes to round out the overall profile.
